The Sri Sita Rama Pattabhishekam, the coronation ceremony of Sri Rama and Sita Devi, marks a significant event in Hindu mythology and epic literature Valmiki Ramayana. It symbolizes the ascension of Sri Rama (the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu), and his consort, Sri Rama and Sita Devi as King & Queen.
Sita Rama Pattabhishekam festival will be celebrated from Fri May 24th to Sun May 26th, 2024.
Sri Rama's life epitomizes righteousness, duty, and honor, making him an embodiment of the ideal king in Hindu culture. After fourteen years of exile, during which Sri Rama fulfills his duties and overcomes numerous adversaries, Sri Rama returns to Ayodhya to reclaim his rightful place as the heir to the throne. Sri Rama's coronation with Sita Devi represents the victory of good over evil, the triumph of righteousness over injustice, and the fulfillment of divine purpose.
The Sri Sita Rama Pattabhishekam ceremony, attended by gods, sages, and citizens, as described in Valmiki's Ramayana, marks the beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity under Rama's rule. This festival performed following the grand re-energizing event, the 2nd Maha Kumbhabhishekam last year, and Sri Ram Lalla's return to Ayodhya after centuries is considered a Divine coincidence and a lifetime blessing for us.
Performing and attending Sri Sita Rama Pattabhishekam is considered to bring the same prosperity, peace, as it did to Ayodhya, India and to all Devotees.
Let's come together with family and friends to participate in this grand festival to seek blessings of Sri Rama Parivar.
Sita Rama Pattabhishekam festival will be celebrated from Fri May 24th to Sun May 26th, 2024.
Our Pujarijis have come up with a great schedule that includes various blissful Pujas and powerful Havans.
During the Lord Rama and Sita Pattabhishekam, the Temple premises will be decked up for the festivities. Divine energies are invoked through elaborate Pujas and Yagnas into the Kumbhas (or Kalashas) containing the holy water (from holy rivers and ritually purified).
Auspicious Pujas include Kalasha Puja, Ganapathi Puja and powerful Havans for Paraivar Devathas such as Sri Ramtarak Havan, and Ram Chalisa/Hanuman Chalisa Havan etc.
On the last day 26th, Maha Abhishekam will be performed for Lord Rama Parivar and the grand coronation, the Pattabhishekam of Lord Rama and Sita Devi as King and Queen in the august presence of other Rishis and Lords as described in Valmiki Ramayana. On May 26th evening, Devotees will also get to perform Lord Rama Paduka Diya Puja. Schedule also includes Bhajan/Kirtans and Cultural Performances. Our volunteers will also prepare sumptuous Maha Prasad Lunch & Dinner daily.
In our Vedic culture, doing Seva (selfless service) is an important part of spiritual sadana. It helps create love, harmony, and peace in our daily lives.
A festival of this magnitude needs lots of volunteer's support. Temple needs volunteers for various activities before, during and after the festival including masonry, carpentry, painting, general cleaning, rangoli, decorations, parking management etc. Please consider joining the Temple's Volunteer WhatsApp group here, where volunteer needs are posed from time to time.
